Who is eligible to apply for hot tub finance?

To apply for credit, you must be at least 18 years old, be retired with income, or work at least 16 hours per week. In addition, you must be a resident of the United Kingdom and have resided there for at least a year.

Novuna ® Personal Finance are unable to offer finance to residents outside of the United Kingdom. Homemakers are welcome to apply or finance under their own name, but the employment details of their spouse /partner will be required to process the finance application.

When will my hot tub payments begin?

Your monthly repayments will start 1 month after your hot tub or swim spa has been installed or delivered. This also applies to Buy Now, Pay Later agreements.

Are there any arrangement fees or hidden extras for credit?

There are no hidden extras or arrangement fees when taking out credit with Novuna® Personal Finance.

Once my application is approved, what happens next?

After the approval of your credit application, you will be presented with the e-sign process within minutes. The PDF of your agreement will appear on the screen. Before consenting to the terms of a financing agreement, it is essential that you read it thoroughly. Your dealer should be able to address all of your questions.

Will you credit score me and if so, what does that mean?

A credit score or credit rating is a number used by financial institutions to ascertain the creditworthiness and risk associated with lending money to individuals. It is based on a number of factors, including income and occupation, as well as information obtained from credit reference agencies. The higher your credit score, the greater your likelihood of receiving credit.

This information enables individuals to receive consistent credit decisions. Credit scoring does not discriminate on sex, race, religion or disability.

If you decline my application, what is the reason?

In addition to credit scoring, Novuna® Personal Finance also takes into account confirmation of your identity, validation of certain application details, existing commitments and information held at the credit reference agencies. Though Novuna is unable to provide you with a main reason for declining your application, it is usually based on one, or a combination of the following:
Your credit score (please note that every finance company will score you differently)
Adverse credit reference agency information
You are considered to be overcommitted
You are aged under 18
Your existing account performance with other lenders

What information do credit reference agencies retain about me?

Credit reference agencies hold a mix of information from different sources. Public information like County Court Judgements, electrical roll and bankruptcies. Other lenders may also file information about accounts you hold with them, your payment history and outstanding balance on these accounts. Any requests for credit, where a credit reference search has been undertaken will also be filed, although the result of this request is not recorded.

How do I obtain a copy of this information?

Send a request to the relevant credit reference agency, together with details of all addresses at which you have lived over the last 6 years:
