The reasons why we recommend winterising your Jacuzzi Hot Tub if you plan on taking a break from use during the winter months:
- Bacteria formation is common with stagnant, undrained hot tub lines. Upon activation, the bacteria can and will enter your spa water. This causes a nasty odour in your hot tub and is very unhealthy for you.
- Closing your spa improperly in the winter months can have disastrous consequences. Winter temperatures can crack your hot tub’s manifolds, freeze pumps and plumbing and could easily cause severe damages that can add up to thousands. All of which wouldn’t be covered by your hot tub’s warranty.
- Lastly, by winterising your hot tub, you’ll save on energy, as your spa will use more energy between January and March than all the other months combined!
Our Outback 365 engineers can provide a professional winterising service for your hot tub, ensuring your hot tub is drained and winterised correctly, preventing damage from frost. To ensure everything is done right, one of our fully trained Jacuzzi® engineers will come to your home and perform the necessary tasks.
This includes isolating the tub and turning off MCB, draining your hot tub, vacuuming jets & pipework, uncoupling pumps and heater connections, and removing filters and catch net. These steps will ensure that your hot tub is ready to withstand the colder months and will be in excellent condition when you want to use it again.
