What is ClearRay™ ?
ClearRay™ is a hot tub water purification system that uses ultraviolet light to disinfect your hot tub water, to stop the growth of bacteria and treat 99% of water borne pathogens. This reduces the amount of hot tub sanitiser you need, saving you money and giving you a crystal clear spa.
Do I need chlorine with ClearRay™️?
ClearRay® reduces the amount of sanitiser you need in your hot tub by up to 50%. It’s compatible with both chlorine and bromine sanitisers. We stock premium Jacuzzi chemicals for quality you can trust.
How will I know it’s time to change my ClearRay™ bulb?
Your hot tub’s control panel will display a ‘blb’ message when it’s time to change the bulb. Refer to your tub’s manual for instructions on how to reset this message once you’ve replaced the bulb.

Step-by-step guide on how to change the ClearRay™️ bulb
You will need:
New ClearRay™️ bulb
Screwdriver
Clean cloth or towel
Step 1: Turn Off Power to the Hot Tub
Prioritise safety by turning off the power to your Jacuzzi® hot tub. Locate the main power switch or circuit breaker and switch it off to create a safe working environment.
Step 2: Access the ClearRay® Bulb Housing
Use a screwdriver to remove the screws securing the access panel. Once removed, you should see the ClearRay® bulb housing.

Step 3: Remove the Old ClearRay® Bulb
Unscrew the old ClearRay™️ bulb from its socket by turning it counterclockwise. If needed, use a cloth or towel for a better grip
Step 4: Clean the Area
Wipe the area around the ClearRay™️ bulb socket with a clean cloth or towel to ensure a secure connection for the new bulb and prevent debris from entering the system.

Step 5: Proper Disposal of the Old ClearRay™️ Bulb
Responsible disposal of the old ClearRay™️ bulb is crucial due to its mercury content:
- Check local regulations for proper disposal.
- Securely package the old bulb if transporting to a collection point.

Step 8: Turn On Power and Test
Restore power to your Jacuzzi® hot tub. Allow the ClearRay™️ system a few minutes to power up. Check the ballast lights:
- Solid Green Light: Indicates the ClearRay™️ System is receiving power and operational.
- Solid Red Light: Indicates the UV bulb is activated for water purification.
